ESPN+ has thousands of exclusive live events, original studio shows, and acclaimed series that aren’t on the ESPN networks. ESPN+ allows subscribers to purchase UFC PPV events and access an extensive archive of
content (including the entire 30 For 30 library, select ESPN Films, game replays, and more).
How can I watch ESPN+ on my TV?
How much does ESPN+ cost?
An ESPN+ subscription will run you $7 a month or $70 annually. If you do the math, this means that an annual plan will save you about $14 a year compared to paying for 12 months with the month-to-month plan.
If youre looking for a gift thats perfect for any sports fan, you can also now purchase an annual ESPN+ gift subscription for $70. Gift subscriptions can only be redeemed by new members.
If youre looking for even more streaming content, theres also a combo package that bundles ESPN+ with Hulu and the Disney Plus streaming service for just $14 a month — an $8 savings each month compared to getting all three services separately. Existing ESPN+ members can even upgrade to the bundle without having to cancel their current subscription. You can upgrade here.
What’s included with ESPN+?
ESPN+ includes a ton of exclusive video content from live games to on-demand shows and exclusive stories. Unfortunately, the live games come with commercials — just like regular TV.
Subscribers can watch live games from the MLB, NHL, and MLS when their seasons are active; there are no live NBA or NFL games. Theres also PGA golf, UFC, college football, international soccer, and tennis.
In addition to games, ESPN+ also features original shows, including in-depth game recaps and analyses hosted by Peyton Manning and Daniel Cormier, and a shorter version of “NFL Primetime.” Documentary programs, like “30 for 30,” as well as full replays of historic NFL games are also available to stream on-demand.
ESPN Plus on-demand shows and movies
For sports geeks who want to dig in further than just live events, ESPN+’s rich on-demand archives would make a solid case for being the “Netflix for sports”—if rival streamer fuboTV hadn’t already claimed the term.
The entirety of ESPN’s 30 for 30 documentary series can be found here, in addition to the E:60 sports-mag show and ESPN films like the Oscar-winning O.J.: Made in America.
But you can’t watch ESPN staples like SportsCenter, Around the Horn, or Pardon the Interruption without a cable, satellite, or live TV streaming provider login. The same goes for Monday Night Football and NBA Friday.
ESPN+ doesn’t feature just ESPN leftovers—like every other upstart platform, ESPN+ also produces original streaming content. Keep scrolling to see what you can watch on ESPN+.
An ESPN+ subscription gives you access to thousands of live college games, as well as live boxing, MMA, golf, tennis, cricket, lacrosse, rugby, and more.
You can also access MLB regular-season games through ESPN+. Soccer and hockey fans, however, are the big winners here, with live access to the entire out-of-market MLS and NHL seasons—cue the vuvuzelas and glow sticks!
Speaking of soccer, ESPN+ is also the home of Spain’s La Liga and the German Bundesliga. It’s no wonder we’ve ranked ESPN+ as one of the top services for soccer fans.
But, you can’t win ‘em all. As we said, only a limited number of NFL games and not a single NBA game can be viewed on ESPN+. For more NFL and any NBA action, you’ll need a traditional ESPN login. It’s not like football and basketball are that popular, right?
Oh, and regional blackouts on certain local MLB, MLS, and NHL games apply to ESPN+ just as they do to ESPN proper. Steee-rike!
When it comes to ESPN+ add-ons, you can combine your streaming subscription with MLB.TV to get every live out-of-market MLB regular season game. Because MLB is currently in the offseason, the add-on is offered at a discounted price through the MLB preseason.
ESPN+ also offers UFC pay-per-view (PPV) events. To watch main card UFC fights, you’ll need to pay $74.99 per event through your ESPN+ membership.
