Step 3: Placing the Map Files Inside the Saves Folder

You can also just drag the archived folder into the saves folder.
Important: All of the map files, e. g. “level. dat” must be contained in a subfolder of the Minecraft saves folder. You won’t need to do anything because this structure is usually already in place on most maps. Be careful not to put the actual map files in the default saves folder.
