2. If your platform supports it, enter the command /gamemode followed by the mode you want to change to (Creative, Survival, Adventure, or Spectator). So, for instance, you would type: /gamemode creative to change from Survival to Creative.
Quick tip: You cannot activate Hardcore mode using this technique. Utilizing a third-party application to edit the game’s files is the only way to convert an existing world to Hardcore mode.

What are the Minecraft Modes?
Minecraft has four modes:
This is the most common Minecraft mode. In order to craft food, weapons, and shelter, players must find resources in the outside world where they can take damage (and die).
This is the mode for all the builders. Every item and block in Minecraft is available in infinite supply to players. Players are invincible, and even the ender dragon is not hostile.
Quick tip: In Creative mode, players can break bedrock. However, if you do, exercise caution because you could lose consciousness and perish as a result.
Players cannot place or break blocks in Adventure mode, but they are still subject to the same rules as in Survival mode in all other respects.
Players in spectator mode operate a camera that can pass through solid blocks and see through them. They cannot die, are not a part of the game world, and cannot be seen by other players unless they are also in spectator mode.
Nota: If a player dies in survival mode, many online multiplayer minigames on Minecraft servers switch to this mode so they can continue playing.
