Finding the Elytra

Flying with the Elytra
Flying in Elytra is very different from flying in Creative and Spectator mode. Its more like gliding, and you cant fly forever. However, you can get around that by gliding with fireworks equipped.
You must attach your wings to your character’s chestplate slot in order to use the Elytra. From there, ascend to a high altitude, plunge, and then press the jump key once to begin flying.
While flying with Elytra, be mindful of real world physics. Flying at an extreme angle can cause you to stall and plummet to the ground. And hitting something too quickly, like the ground or a wall, could kill you.
