This tutorial will show you how to build a basic medieval starter home in Minecraft, complete with a bed, armor stand, chest, crafting table, furnace, and other features. This is ideal for one person and can be used as a basis for creating a modest medieval home.

How to Build an Easy Medieval House
This medieval house was constructed by BlueNerd. This is a simple build with some traditional style architecture. This building would be at home in a forest or the middle of any medieval village. This house, which is relatively simple to construct from found materials, might be a great place to survive. So get ready to design, create, and build.
Step 1: Layout and Materials Needed
Let’s start by discussing the fundamental supplies you’ll need to build this structure. The plan in which we’ll be building our house is shown below:

Step 2: Find a Nice Flat Place For Minecraft Medieval House

Find a nice flat area to build your house because the house will have an L-shape as its overall shape. Find a piece of land where you can dig easily if you want to add a basement!

With the layout provided, now let’s start laying our foundation. Use stones or blocks.
and stack them on one another with a total of 5 blocks high. You can also randomly texture the walls with cobblestone and stone bricks. Try to keep the pattern as random as possible to get a more natural look.
Next, it’s time to install polished andesite corner blocks in place of the main corner blocks. Apply the same procedure to the tower’s corner blocks. After doing this, your structure will look something like this:

Step 4: Build a Doorway + Add the Flooring

You must break some stones on one side of the wall to create the home’s main entrance. Next, put three stones and three spruce fences in a small area that is free. Place three spruce trapdoors after that, and then add a door. Now fill your ground floor with some spruce planks. To create the foundation for the second level, repeat the same procedure on the tops of the walls.

Step 5: Add The Frame to Build Minecraft Medieval House

Now let’s begin building the upper level. Add one regular block or spruce slab in between each pair of upside-down spruce planks on the structure’s top. Put four spruce slabs level with the corners in the middle of each side.
Six strip spruce blocks should now be added to the top to create a raise. Don’t forget to use the same spruce blocks to join the tops of the pillars. (Use the photos as a guide).
Step 6: Construct The Walls & Tower

Now we’re going to create our walls with smooth sandstone. Sandstone two blocks wide and four blocks high should be used to fill in all the gaps (apart from one).
Start assembling the identical sandstone blocks in the empty space to form a tower. Place them in a square configuration and build them up to a total height of nine blocks. This will look something like this:

Install some spruce slabs on one side of the house if you want to add a balcony. Now you’ll see some gaps are left behind. Fill all of the remaining gaps with spruce logs.

For the roof, you’ll need dark oak stairs. Start lining them up side by side, and then add a hung block. Do this on all four corners of the structure. To get a nice A-line roof, use the same process on both sides. Your roof will be looking like this:

Now let’s start working on the tower roof. You’ll need some slabs, dark oak planks, and dark oak stairs for this. Planks are placed on top, raised twice, and then covered with three dark oak fences to complete the top. (See the video for more clarity).

Step 8: Add Windows and Shutters

Now it’s time to make some windows in your house. Break the two stones and place an upside-down stone at the bottom because, after all, no home would be complete without it. Place the glass plane of your choice there, and for the shutters, use spruce trapdoors. Do the same for all of your windows.
You can also add spruce fences for additional decorations to complete the look. Simply take them and begin arranging them from the second level’s base to the roof. Add lanterns above all the windows to brighten up space.

A chimney is a significant and necessary component of the home when building a medieval home. Stone brick stairs and cracked stone bricks make up the chimney in this instance. Place 2 X 2 row bricks from the bottom of the roof up to create this. Granites and polished granites can also add a few details.
Then add four-row bricks and a campfire on the top. Don’t forget to surround it with some spruce trap doors. Your chimney is complete once you place a cobblestone block atop the fire. Isn’t it looking pretty?.
Step 10: Decorate Your Minecraft Medieval House

Once you’ve finished with the chimney and other details, you can add some flowers and leaves to your pathway as decoration. You can decorate your house interior as you want.
There are basically three main levels in this Minecraft house design:
- There is an open kitchen with numerous storage cabinets on the ground floor. There is also a stove and heater. Additionally, a small living space with a desk is present.
- There is a sizable bedroom with a fireplace and some decorative shelving spaces on the upper level. To make your space brighter, you can also use some chandeliers and lights. The master bedroom also has a balcony that is accessible from there.
- Finally, there is a small nook that can be used as a reading nook on the top level.
