You need 1 netherite ingot and the designated diamond armor, both of which can only be found by entering the nether biome, in order to make any part of the netherite armor. One netherite ingot and one diamond chestplate, for instance, are required to create a Netherite chestplate.
How to make a Netherite Ingot
When you enter the nether, the antiquated debris is the first thing you need to find. You must set your Y coordinate between 12 and 17 to find the extremely rare item, but be cautious of the lava and mobs you may encounter while doing so. Only a diamond pickaxe, beds, or TNT that can explode and give you some ancient debris can be used to mine them.
The following step is to smelt them with fuel, producing nether scraps.
You can now create 1 nether ingot by using 4 nether scraps and 4 gold ingots on the crafting table.
