How does Condensed Resin factor into Genshin Impact’s Original Resin fee that players must pay in order to access some treasure chests?
Since its inception, Genshin Impact has operated with a relatively simple “energy” system. Dungeons and boss battles are open to all players, but if they want to reap the rewards from each, they’ll need to spend money on Original Resin.
Genshin Impact players have the option of instantly replenishing their Original Resin supply by paying Primogems, the game’s premium currency, while Original Resin regenerates gradually over time. As an alternative, players occasionally receive “Fragile Resin,” a storable item that, when consumed, instantly grants 60 Original Resin.
Players can receive two times as many rewards from a single run of a Domain by using Condensed Resin, which is created using a significant amount of Original Resin. After a formal announcement from the game’s developer, miHoYo, acknowledging the problems with Original Resin, this newer material was added in an update. Along with a newer storage cap of 16o Original Resin, the update also added the ability to make Condensed Resin.
Players can make Condensed Resin at any Alchemy station once they have obtained the diagram by reaching Liyue Reputation Level 3. However, it does require a combination of Original Resin and Crystal Cores, which are more difficult to come by. Every week, travelers who want to improve their reputation must finish Bounties and local regional quests. In spite of the fact that players can only keep three Condensed Resin in storage at once, the system does permit some degree of gameplay flexibility. A player can at least quickly prepare three Condensed Resin to double their rewards the following time they play if they are unable to log in and play one day.
Since a player can only hold onto three Condensed Resin at once, these advantages can only stack once, but it’s still a significant improvement. When a player captures one of the glowing Crystalflies that are strewn throughout Teyvat, such as a Liyue Geo Crystalfly or the Anemo and Cryo Crystalflies that live in Mondstadt and Dragonspine, respectively, they will each yield one Crystal Core. These can be used, among other things, to create one Condensed Resin from each.
Interestingly, Condensed Resin was introduced after numerous players criticized the games’ “Resin system” for being ineffective. Despite having a seemingly unlimited upper limit of 160 Original Resin, players cannot stockpile Original Resin without Condensed Resin. Players had to physically log on and play several times daily in order to effectively gain and use Original Resin; otherwise, their Resin supply would remain static.
Genshin Impact is currently available on PC, PS4, Google Play, and the App Store. It is also being developed for the PS5 and Switch.
CONDENSED RESIN vs FRAGILE RESIN (Genshin Impact)
Condensed Resin – How To Get
By increasing your reputation at Liyue, you can level up and obtain the Condensed Resin recipe.
Condensed Resin can also be used to reduce the amount of time spent farming some things. For instance, you would typically use 20 Resin for a certain amount of Mora when using a Mora Leyline. Condensing your Resin and using it to claim the rewards effectively amounts to spending twice as much Resin to receive twice as many rewards. Resin to reward here is still paid at the same rate, but since you pay all 40 at once rather than having to complete a second leyline, it only takes half as long to complete.
The talent book domain shown above uses condensed resin for rewards. While this is a decent roll, more frequently you would see 4 or 5 silver books and 4 or 5 brown books. However, the usual rewards per 20 Resin would be two of each, so using Condensed Resin in this situation won’t cost you anything.
Condensed Resin in Genshin Impact might raise the question of whether it is worthwhile to produce given that Resin is required, so it makes sense to be cautious.
Directly purchasing bosses, leylines, and the like with condensed resin is one of the alternate uses for resin. Instead, you can craft Condensed Resin at any of the game’s alchemy stations, which essentially locks down 40 of your Resin into an item worth, you guessed it, 40 Resin. However, you’ll have to pay a crystal fly core for the privilege.
Well, for starters, there are advantages to doing this. This will take a lot less time than using it all manually and allows you to ensure that your Resin recharge time isn’t being wasted by leaving it at cap. If you’re in a hurry, you can quickly condense the maximum 160 Resin into 4 Condensed Resin items.
