Verizon Wireless: Your call cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again.
How to Fix Your Call Cannot Be Completed As Dialed On Verizon, AT&T, Sprint
If you’re on Verizon, Sprint or AT&T and have received something like “welcome to Verizon wireless. Your call cannot be completed as dialed please check the number and dial again” when trying to call someone, here are some things you could try that should fix these for you.
Most issues you have with your phone can be fixed by doing a reboot of the device in question. So we would generally recommend that you do a reboot of your phone first, try calling the said number(s) again, and see if things are still not working.
If you’re getting the “welcome to Verizon wireless. Your call cannot be completed as dialed please check the number and dial again” or just “your call cannot be completed as dialed please try again later” when trying to make any call from your phone, you can go to Settings >> select Connections >> Mobile Networks >> Network Mode >> have the settings here changed from Global to LTE/CDMA >> do a reboot of the phone and see if you can make calls.
If you can call other numbers, especially on that same carrier, and you think the error is with the phone number in question even when you are sure the number is correct, then it probably has to do with how you saved the number. Here is something to try:
Look for the contact on your phone and delete it (this is even more important if you have multiple entries of the number stored) >> reboot your phone >> dial the number straight into the dialer of your phone and try placing the call (if other contacts on your phone show up while dialing this number, you’d want to delete those also) >> if the call goes through, try having the number saved and redialed.
I had the same problem. “Call cannot be connected as dialed. Please check the number and call again. Message number XXXXXX” (but would still place call after that message) Was happening for several months and just dealt with it. I think I corrected it though. I went into SETTINGS –> CONNECTIONS –> MOBILE NETWORKS –> NETWORK MODE –> and changed settings from Global to LTE/CDMA. Global was the default setting but after I changed to LTE/CDMA and restarted the phone the error went away. I can now make phone calls without getting the error message.
Thank you for reaching out to the community about this. We know its important that youre able to get in touch with the church, and Im sure we can work together to get this fixed. Typically, when this happens to only one contact, it has to do with the way the number is stored in the phone, especially in cases where there are more than one entry for the same contact. Please try deleting any contact information for the church from this phone. Once the information has been deleted, reboot the phone. Please then dial the number directly into the dialer and attempt a call. Please be sure that no contact information comes up for the number as youre dialing it. If it does, it means you need to delete that contact as well. It should go through. If it does, please go ahead and add another contact for the church and test again. Please let us know your results. Well be standing by.
What Causes The “Your Call Cannot Be Completed As Dialed Please Try Again Later” Notification?
When you’re trying to make a phone call, and the automated message says that “your call cannot be completed as dialed please try again later”, then there are issues with the number or phone you’re are calling, issues that make it that the device isn’t able to receive phone calls (even with these issues, you’ll only hear this automated message often because the user doesn’t have a voicemail which the network provider forwards the call). Some common issues that result in the “your call cannot be completed as dialed please try again later” call intercept message are:
