Fully Automatic Wheat Farm (Villagers)
Using a more complicated technique with villagers, it is possible to create a 100% automatic crop farm for wheat This type of farm can successfully grow crops like potatoes, carrots, and beets. Redstone use in this setup must be more advanced, and someone from the village will need to take care of the seeding.

One of the simplest automatic farms you can build in Minecraft is an egg farm. Since chickens continuously lay eggs, all that is required is to confine them to a small space and collect the eggs using hoppers. One cool idea is to construct a wooden “chicken coop” with a floor made of hoppers that is approximately 3 by 3 or smaller. All of the eggs will be collected by this floor and placed in a chest next to or under the coop.
You only need to throw eggs into the coop to occasionally spawn chickens, which will allow you to get chickens into the coop. By performing a right click while holding an egg, you can throw eggs. It is simple to begin with a small number of chickens and then return the eggs they lay to the coop to produce more.
The hoppers can be covered with carpets if you want to further decorate the floor.
You can construct a small enclosed swimming pool and place chickens inside it for an even simpler farm that does not use hoppers. The chickens will continually float on top while laying eggs that may fall into the water. Make a hole at the bottom and use a sign to stop water from pouring out. Over time as the chickens continue to lay eggs, eggs will eventually come to the surface of the water.
Automatic Sugar Cane Farm
Making an automatic sugar cane farm is fairly simple, but you’ll need some redstone for it. You don’t need to worry about replanting at all because sugar cane continuously regrows (as long as you don’t harvest the bottom block).
Observers, pistons, and redstone are used to harvest the sugar cane. A block that sends a redstone signal whenever a fresh block appears in front of it is an observer. In our scenario, the redstone will activate when the sugar cane reaches a height of three blocks, activating the pistons to cut the second sugar cane block. By doing this, the bottom block will remain intact and the plant can continue to grow.
When the sugar cane is broken by the pistons, it falls to the ground and is vacuumed up by a hopper minecart as it moves back and forth (see illustration below). Simply position the minecart on a powered rail above a redstone block to make it move back and forth. You will need to add numerous redstone blocks for longer builds.
This type of farm is compatible with other crops that grow similarly (like bamboo).
To demonstrate how it works, I built a sugar cane farm. You are welcome to copy this build into your game. Keep in mind that the build can be stretched as far as you like in both directions and, if you’d like, it can be mirrored to be double-sided. With the exception of the chest in the front, the build I have in the photos is four blocks deep.

Automatic Pumpkin & Melon Farm
Unlike other crops, pumpkins and melons grow horizontally from a vine and don’t need to be replanted. In addition, these crops are “solid blocks” that are impassable, as opposed to crops like wheat or sugar cane.
